Assasination Attempt

The Selesthian terrorist organisation known as the Thorns recently made an attempt upon the life of the Spider Queen Theocracy's First Matron, Rowen Arachnia. The attack was foiled by the skillful actions of her Xin'Arachnia guards. The Listhani ambassador was with the First Matron at the time and also escaped harm.

One of the assasins was taken aboard the visiting Listhani diplomatic vessel for unknown reasons. The other assasins were executed slowly and painfully, for public exposition, over the Theocracy's data network. The Omnet refuses to allow public access to archived copies of this vid. because we cannot condone its barbarous and offensive content.

Peacful Resolution

Sources in the August Empire of Archaen and the Listhani Continuum report that the diplomatic mission to the Everton Imperium mysteriously soured. Eight Stealth Spiders of the Spider Queen Theocracy's House Rindestia suddenly appeared with serious technical difficulties. The Archaens were able to rescue a small number of dr'owe before Spiderships' reactors failed. It appears that the Stealth Spiders were testing a new drive system that used Gollis Singularity material as fuel.

The Archaens managed to stop the formation of additonal Gollis Singularities with the assistance of the dr'owe survivors. Meanwhile, the Evertonian Fleet engaged a Hunn vessel, protecting the delicate rescue operation. The Evertonians then returned to their home zone for unknown reasons.

A Listhani contact fleet and an SQT research fleet then arrived. The SQT demanded the return of all of the dr'owe survivors. An armed stand-off then insued with the Listhani and Archaens both receiving reenforcements. The Evertonians then sent a message from within their zone indicating that they had no wish to question the dr'owe survivors. This made it possible for the Archaens to return the SQT personnel via the Listhani vessels.

The Omnet would like to caution the SQT against sending experimental vessels on contact missions. They could give away their own secrets or accidentally destroy an emerging culture.

Piracy in the Continuum

A trade convoy out of the SQT was destroyed recently while enroute to Station Prime. The attack is credited to a group calling itself Clan Deathspider. It appears that the aim of the attack was to secure the Q-element onboard the ships. None of the crewers from Clan Dragon's Fang survived.
The pirates were destroyed by a joint strike by the Listhani and SQT fleets. No firm data is availible at this time on the Listhani unit, but it is suspected to be a squadron of experimental steatlh corvettes. The SQT contingent was composed of 8 of each major type of Theocracy warship.
After the pirates were routed, the spoils were offered to the Listhani. The Q-element would cost market value and everything else was free. These goods were collected by an armed Listhani merchant squadron enroute to the Selesthian Protecterate via Bain're.
